Motorcyclist seriously injured after school bus collision in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: A 44-year-old man sustained serious injuries after a school bus collided with a motorcycle in Rambasti, Punarbas Municipality-3, Kanchanpur.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning when a bus (Suppra 01-001 Pa. 2133) belonging to Tristal Boarding School in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City struck a motorcycle (Se2 Pa 6309), seriously injuring Ramesh Tamang, a resident of the area.

According to Police Inspector Mahesh Bikram Shahi of the Tribhuvanbasti Area Police Office, the bus was en route to pick up students when the accident took place. Following the crash, the driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled.

Tamang is currently receiving treatment at Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi. Authorities have taken the bus into custody at the Tribhuvan Police Office, and the driver, Prem Singh Rana, has been contacted by the police, confirmed Inspector Shahi.
