Sanphebajar municipality mayor demands three-day explanation from executive officer

Achham: The executive meeting of Sanphebajar Municipality has decided to seek a three-day explanation from its Acting Chief Administrative Officer, Laxmi Prasad Sharma, regarding his prolonged absence from duty.

The decision was made during the executive meeting held on Falgun 22, following concerns that Sharma has been out of contact with the municipal office since Magh 23 without providing any official notice. Mayor Rajendra Bahadur Kunwar stated that the executive body deemed it necessary to demand an explanation due to Sharma’s unauthorized absence.

Mayor Kunwar further explained that public complaints have been growing over the past two and a half years, alleging that Sharma has frequently remained absent for extended periods without notification. In light of these concerns, the municipality has officially requested Sharma to clarify the reasons behind his absence.

Sharma, who currently serves as the Accounting Officer, has been holding the position of Acting Chief Administrative Officer in Sanphebagar Municipality for nearly five years.
