Minister Bhandari discusses far west development with Prime minister
Dhangadhi: Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has stated that the ordinances introduced by the government will be passed with consensus.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal Kailali in Dhangadhi on Thursday, Minister Bhandari emphasized that preparations are underway to present and pass the ordinance in the ongoing session of Parliament.
"The parliamentary session is ongoing. Several bills have already been presented and passed. The ordinance introduced by the government is also entering Parliament," he said. "Preparations are being made to pass it with consensus."
He highlighted that the ordinance aims to ensure effective governance and work performance, addressing existing complications in the administration. According to Bhandari, the private sector has welcomed these provisions, and while challenges remain, the government is gaining momentum in achieving its objectives.
On a separate note, Minister Bhandari revealed that MPs, ministers, and leaders from the Far West Province have jointly urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to accelerate key development and infrastructure projects in the region.
"All ministers, MPs, and leaders from the Far West met with the Prime Minister and held important discussions regarding the province’s development. Issues such as the operation of Shaheed Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University in Geta, the advancement of Mahakali Corridor, the Khutia-Dipayal Fast Track, and the construction of the provincial capital were discussed," he said.
Bhandari further mentioned that significant progress has been made in linking Shaheed Dashrath Chand University with Seti Provincial Hospital and addressing manpower management. Additionally, he assured that steps are being taken to advance the construction of the provincial capital in the near future.
