Police constable dies after falling from cliff in Baitadi

Baitadi: A police constable lost his life after falling from a cliff in Baitadi on Wednesday.

Lokendra Bahadur Khadayat, who was stationed at the border police post in Dilasaini Rural Municipality-3, succumbed to his injuries after the fall. Khadayat, a resident of Baril, Shailshikhar Municipality-1, Darchula, was returning to duty from his home when the incident occurred in the evening.

He was immediately taken to Kuleshwor Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, according to Police Inspector Balram Pandey, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi.

A police team has been deployed to the incident site for further investigation, and Khadayat’s body has been kept at Kuleshwor Hospital.
