Nine gamblers, including two women, arrested from Hotel Solti in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: Police have arrested nine individuals, including two women, on charges of illegal gambling from Hotel Solti in Dhangadhi, Kailali.

The arrests took place at 11:30 PM on Thursday following a confidential tip-off. A police team raided Hotel Solti, operated by 28-year-old Pooja Khadka of Alital Rural Municipality-3, Dadeldhura, in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4.

Arrested Individuals:

Pooja Khadka (28) – Hotel manager, Alital Rural Municipality-3, Dadeldhura

Ganesh Thapa (40) – Alital Rural Municipality-7, Dadeldhura

Ishwar Pandey (37) – Ajaymeru Rural Municipality-3

Hima Dhami (25) – Sigas Rural Municipality-3, Baitadi

Kalu Singh Dhami (55) – Purchaudi Municipality-8

Surendra Air (41) – Patan Municipality-4

Laxman Khadka (41) – Gauriganga Municipality-9, Kailali

Min Bahadur Bhandari (30) – Thalara Rural Municipality-3, Bajhang

Suraj Daulyal (43) – Durgathali Rural Municipality-8

During the raid, police recovered Rs 197,672 and two decks of playing cards from the scene.

The operation was carried out by a team from the Ward Police Office, Dhangadhi, under the supervision of the Provincial Police Office, Dhangadhi.
