Former Kailali campus chief Dr. Hemraj Panta honored with civic felicitation in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: Former campus chief of Kailali Multiple Campus, Professor Dr. Hemraj Panta, was honored with a civic felicitation in Dhangadhi today in recognition of his contributions to the education sector.

The Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City organized the felicitation program at 8 AM, where Mayor Gopal Hamal presented Dr. Panta with garlands, food, and a certificate of honor. The event included a chariot procession with a musical band, starting from Dhangadhi’s traffic intersection and culminating at Park Mode, in collaboration with the Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City.

Dr. Panta's Contributions to Education

Dr. Panta has played a pivotal role in the development of education in Sudurpaschim Province since establishing his workplace in Dhangadhi in 2037 BS. He initiated the teaching of Kailali Commerce Campus at Panchodaya Secondary School, Dhangadhi, on Magh 1, 2037 BS, with 145 students. The campus was later renamed Kailali Multiple Campus in 2038 BS.

Dr. Panta, who completed his PhD in India, was appointed as the head of Kailali Multiple Campus in 2045 BS and served in that position until 2066 BS. Under his leadership, the institution provided thousands of students with academic qualifications, life skills, and education to compete internationally.

Life and Academic Journey of Dr. Panta

Born on Falgun 21, 2011 BS, in Uchkakot (now Shikhar Municipality-9, Doti), Dr. Panta made Dhangadhi his workplace. His father, Khagendra Nath Ayurvedacharya, was the head of an Ayurveda dispensary in Doti Siliguri at the time of his birth and was later transferred to Dadeldhura, where Dr. Panta received his early education.

BCom: Shankardev Campus

Master’s Degree: Tribhuvan University (2037 BS)

Dr. Panta married Saraswati Ojha in 2031 BS at the age of 19 and has two sons and a daughter.

In 2068 BS, he was appointed Registrar of Far Western University in Mahendranagar and served for four years before returning to Kailali Multiple Campus in 2072 BS, where he continued teaching until his retirement in 2074 BS.
