Dhangadhi police arrest three absconding defendants

Dhangadhi: Three individuals who had been absconding after being sentenced in separate cases have been arrested from Dhangadhi, Kailali.

A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Kailali, apprehended Jialal Rana, 40, of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-13, who was sentenced to two months and 18 days in prison in a drug-related case. Similarly, Khemraj Ojha, 28, of Hasanpur, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-5, was arrested after being sentenced to one month in prison and fined Rs 100,000 in a theft case. Additionally, Samyukta Shah, 37, of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-5, was taken into custody following a Rs 1,000 fine in a check dishonor case.

The arrests were made on Thursday after the District Court Kailali issued their respective sentences on different dates.
