Mahayagya begins at Manav Sewa Ashram, Chief Minister to inaugurate
Dhangadhi: A Mahayagya is set to commence in Dhangadhi today to support the construction of a dedicated building for the Kailali branch of Manav Sewa Ashram Sudurpaschim Province.
Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah will inaugurate the Shrimad Bhagwat Sapta Gyan Vigyan Mahayagya-2081 at the festival venue in Pashupati Tol, Dhangadhi-1. The event will begin on Magh 23 at 10:30 AM, featuring a Kalash Yatra accompanied by cultural tableaux, musical instruments, and artists portraying the lives of street-dependent individuals.
The grand Kalash Yatra will include traditional performances such as Hudkeli, Haliya, Putala, Gaura, Sakhiya, Holi, Deuda, and Lakhenacha, along with conch shell chanting, bhajan-kirtan, and various cultural musical displays. Following the procession, the formal inauguration ceremony will take place, with a special address by Chief Minister Shah, as stated by Ramji Adhikari, founder and central president of Manav Sewa Ashram.
Madan Bahadur Kunwar, coordinator of the Mahayagya main organizing committee, confirmed that all preparations have been completed. Over the past three weeks, activists, parents, and employees of Manav Sewa Ashram, along with members from various branches, have been engaged in preparations at the event site. A pandal has been set up to accommodate more than 1,000 devotees.
