Two cows and four bulls seized in Kailali
Dhangadhi: Authorities in Kailali have seized cows and bulls that were being illegally transported from India.
According to the District Police Office, two cows and four bulls were being brought into Nepal through an illegal route near Kalika Community Forest in Bhajani Municipality-5 at around 9:30 pm last night. The individuals involved in the smuggling fled the scene upon the police's arrival, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kabindra Singh Bohara.
The estimated value of the seized livestock includes Rs 100,000 for the two cows, Rs 20,000 for the four bulls, and Rs 75,000 for three donkeys. Authorities have stated that the seized animals will be handed over to the relevant authorities as per legal procedures.
