Kushal Bhurtel to represent Dadeldhura club in Arjun trophy
Dhangadhi: Nepali national cricket team opener Kushal Bhurtel will play for Dadeldhura’s Friends Club in the upcoming Arjun Trophy national cricket tournament. The tournament will take place in the cricket city of Dhangadhi from 19th to 28th Magh. Bhurtel is set to feature as the key player for Dadeldhura in the opening match against DC Dhangadhi.
The Arjun Trophy is being organized in memory of the late Arjun Khadka, a prominent figure in Dhangadhi and Sudurpaschim Pradesh cricket. The tournament boasts a total cash prize of nearly Rs 2 million. The winning team of the T20 format competition will receive a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs, while the runner-up will take home Rs 5 lakhs.
Individual accolades include Rs 100,000 for the best player of the tournament, Rs 5 lakhs each for the best batsman, best bowler, and emerging player, and Rs 10,000 for the man of the match in every game.
A total of eight clubs from various parts of the country will compete in this prestigious tournament.
