Fugitive defendant arrested in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: A fugitive defendant has been apprehended in Kanchanpur.

Sandesh Bohara, 24, a resident of Suda, Bedkot Municipality-7, was arrested on Thursday by a team from the Ward Police Office Mahendranagar. Bohara had been absconding following a verdict by the District Court Kanchanpur on 22 Mangsir 2078 BS, which sentenced him to 2 months and 9 days of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 200 in connection with a drug-related case.

Police located Bohara at his residence and took him into custody for further legal proceedings.
