Bhada Tharu homestay festival scheduled in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: The Tharu Homestay Festival is set to take place in Bhada village, located in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-16, Kailali. The event aims to promote and publicize the Tharu Homestay Village Bhada.
The festival, organized by the Tharu Homestay Village Bhada Tourism Development and Management Committee, will run from 17 to 21 Poush, as announced during a press conference on Friday.
Bhada village has been operating as a homestay destination since 2011. Laxminarayan Chaudhary, Chairperson of the organizing committee, stated that the festival is held annually to promote and preserve the culture, food, costumes, skills, and natural resources of the Tharu community while enhancing the usage and visibility of the homestay.
The festival will feature a range of attractions, including Tharu cuisine, traditional skills and costumes, a Deuthan observation, a Lahurama village tour, a visit to the Tharu Museum, and activities such as Kathe Ping.
To ensure the festival's success, a main organizing committee and nine subcommittees have been formed, according to the committee's statement.
