Individual arrested with illegal timber in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: A man has been arrested in Kanchanpur for possession of illegal timber.

A joint team comprising personnel from the Area Police Office Gularia, Sub-Division Forest Office Banai, and Hariyali Community Forest Gularia apprehended Dukhiram Rana, a resident of Krishnapur Municipality-4, Velkundi.

Rana was found hiding illegal Sal timber, measuring 21.15 cubic feet (Golia Than-2), inside his house. Both the timber and Rana were taken into custody.

Authorities have handed Rana over to Hariyali Community Forest Gularia, Kanchanpur, for further action.
