Tharu cultural festival and ghorighora lawangi puja commence in Ghodaghodi

Kailali: The Ghorighora Lawangi Puja and Tharu Cultural Festival officially began in Ghodaghodi, Kailali, on Wednesday, coinciding with Bivah Panchami on Mangsir 21.

The festival aims to enhance the celebration of the Lawangi Puja and promote the preservation of Tharu culture. Minister for Industry, Tourism, and Forest Environment Laxman Kishore Chaudhary inaugurated the event.

The opening ceremony witnessed the participation of several notable figures, including Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure Prakash Bam, Provincial Assembly Member Khushi Ram Chaudhary, Tharu Welfare Kailali representative Bir Bahadur Chaudhary, Deputy Mayor Guliya Kumari Chaudhary, and representatives such as Bhalmansha and Chiraki from 82 villages.

The program was chaired by Budhram Chaudhary, Chairman of the Municipal Bhalmansha Committee.
