Far West University and Jonbuk University of South Korea sign 5-Point MoU for educational collaboration
Dhangadhi: Far West University and Jonbuk National University of South Korea have signed a five-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in educational programs.
The MoU was exchanged on Sunday morning between Far West University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Hemraj Pant and Jonbuk National University President Dr. Oh Bong Yang, during an international scientific conference held in Lalitpur, which commenced on Friday.
Vice-Chancellor Pant stated that the MoU aims to enhance academic standards and collaboration between the two universities. The five-point agreement includes initiatives for faculty, professor, and researcher exchanges, student exchanges, sharing of educational materials and information, joint research projects, and the organization of academic meetings and seminars.
Founded in 1947 BS, Jonbuk University was represented by Prof. Hak Yong Kim, who leads a team of 21 academics, including Far West University’s Vice-Chancellor. Prof. Kim expressed satisfaction with the formal agreement to support research opportunities for Nepali students.
Established in 2010 BS, Far West University has recently focused on expanding students' international academic access through research and exploration. The university is also co-organizing the international scientific conference with the Nepal Material Science Society.
