Two arrested for attempting rape on a 17-year-old girl

In Kanchanpur, a 17-year-old girl from Krishnapur Municipality-4 has become a victim of an attempted rape.

The incident took place on the evening of Bhadra 21, when two men from Krishnapur Municipality-2, identified as 23-year-old Ramesh Chaudhary and 27-year-old Suresh Chaudhary, allegedly lured the girl into a forest under false pretenses after consuming alcohol.

The girl's mother filed a complaint at the Jhalari Police Office, and both suspects have since been taken into custody. The police, led by Inspector Krishna Shrestha, are investigating the case, and the district court has granted a five-day extension for the investigation. The victim had been visiting her maternal grandmother's house to celebrate Ashtami when the crime occurred.
