Five Municipalities in Kailali Address Citizens' Needs in Upcoming Fiscal Policies and Budgets

Dhangadhi – In a significant move towards improving the lives of their citizens, five municipalities in Kailali district have incorporated various socio-economic initiatives into the policies, programs, and budgets for the upcoming financial year.

These initiatives cover a broad spectrum from citizen safety to job creation. Key Initiatives Across Municipalities: 1. Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City: - Night Market for Youth Employment:

To combat youth unemployment, Mayor Gopal Hamal announced the establishment of a night market in a park setting, offering a platform for young entrepreneurs. - Model School Development: The city continues its "One Ward, One Model School" program to enhance educational standards.

 Public Property Protection: Efforts to remove encroachments from public lands and restore Taltalaiya to its original state are included in the policy.

2. Tikapur Municipality: - Healthcare and Education: Plans to open a sickle cell hospital and research center, along with providing residential education for orphaned children, have been introduced.

3. Gauriganga Municipality: - Support for Disabled Individuals: The municipality commits to purchasing goods produced by people with disabilities. - Orphaned Children: A new guardianship policy for orphaned children has been established.

- Free Ambulance Service: Pregnant women will benefit from a free ambulance service under the new policy. 4. Joshipur Rural Municipality: - Free Ambulance Service: Similar to Gauriganga, Joshipur has included free ambulance services for pregnant women in its programs.
