According to the Provincial Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report released by the National Statistics Office recently, the economic growth rate of Far-West Province in the current fiscal year at basic prices is estimated to be 3.06 percent.

Based on the actual data up to 9 months of the current financial year (last March) and the estimated data for the next three months (from April to June), the office has released the provincial accounting data. The agriculture sector has the highest contribution to the GDP while the administrative support services sector has the lowest contribution.

The contribution of public administration and defense sector is seen in the second place in Far Western Province. According to the revised estimates for the financial year 2079/80, the contribution of Far-West to the GDP has decreased significantly.
