Cricketer Lamichhane acquitted by High Court

Kathmandu: National Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been acquitted by Patan High Court.

The bench of Justices Sudarshandev Bhatt and Anju Upreti acquitted Lamichhane in a case of rape, after overturning the decision of the District Court to find him guilty.

Earlier, the District Court of Kathmandu convicted Lamichhane in the rape case and sentenced him to eight years imprisonment along with a fine
