District Administration Grants Citizenship to 90-Year-Old Woman in Doti at Home
Doti: In a heartening display of administrative compassion, the District Administration Office Doti has facilitated the granting of citizenship to a 90-year-old woman within the comfort of her home.
Kalsi Thapa Oli, residing in Sayal Rural Municipality-2, Sirma, was the recipient of this special initiative. Gopal Prasad Aryal, the Chief District Officer, affirmed that Lal Bahadur Bogti, an office representative, was dispatched to Oli's residence to oversee the citizenship granting process.
Acknowledging the physical limitations of Oli due to her advanced age, Chief District Officer Aryal highlighted the concerted efforts of local authorities and community representatives in coordinating this special arrangement to ensure Oli's citizenship rights were honored.
Tej Dumrel, a dedicated social campaigner, commended the persistent endeavors of local advocate Dal Bahadur Oli, spanning nearly two years, which culminated in the successful acquisition of citizenship for Kalsi Thapa Oli. Following the attainment of citizenship status, both the elderly recipient and her family members expressed profound happiness and gratitude for this significant milestone.
