Lakshmi Budha Unanimously Elected as UML Kanchanpur President
Kanchanpur: In a significant development, Lakshmi Budha has been unanimously elected as the president of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) in the ninth district session of Kanchanpur. Budha, formerly serving as the acting president, ascended to the presidency by unanimous decision during the Ninth Assembly.
Under the auspices of UML president KP Sharma Oli, the newly appointed office bearers, including the president, solemnly took the oath of office and secrecy on Monday night. The presiding committee, constituted during the electoral process, engaged with all aspiring candidates and ultimately elected the office bearers and district leadership through consensus.
During the ceremony, President Oli underscored the imperative of focusing the district leadership's efforts towards the party's 'Mission-84'. Emphasizing the need to bolster the party's foundation, he urged all members to collaborate in eradicating factionalism. Notably, President Oli himself inaugurated the ninth district convention last Thursday, marking the commencement of this significant political event.
