Woman Injured in Assault Incident in Darchula

Darchula: A disturbing incident unfolded in Darchula as a woman fell victim to an assault, resulting in injuries.

Bhuntidevi Dadal, aged 65 and a resident of the locality, sustained injuries after being assaulted by 40-year-old Chkanradevi Dadal from Marma Rural Municipality-6 Mangdang. According to reports from local authorities, the altercation between the two individuals escalated into violence on Thursday night (Gairati) due to a domestic dispute.

The victim, Bhunti, received initial treatment at the local community health unit in Mangdang before being transferred to Dhangadhi for further medical attention on Friday morning. Bhunti suffered injuries to both arms and her left leg in the assault.

Darchula police have initiated an investigation into the matter, deploying a team of four individuals led by Assistant Police Inspector Naresh Dutt Pant to delve deeper into the incident. The community awaits further developments as authorities work towards resolving this unfortunate event.
