Tragic Jeep Accident in Achham Claims Life of Child, Leaves 14 Injured
Achham: A devastating accident occurred in Chowrapati Rural Municipality-5, Lugra, resulting in the loss of a child's life and injuries to 14 individuals.
The incident, which took place while a group was traveling from Lugra in Achham, tragically claimed the life of 18-month-old Ishan Khadka from Purvi Chowki Rural Municipality-4 in Doti. Additionally, several school-going children sustained injuries, with five-year-old Dipendra Rawal and eight-year-old Smile Rawal of Chowrapati Rural Municipality-5 reported to be among the seriously injured.
Emergency responders swiftly intervened, transporting the injured individuals to Byalpata Hospital for urgent medical attention via ambulance and jeep. Achham Police are currently gathering details regarding the identities and addresses of the injured parties.
The accident involved Jeep No. 1 Jh 429, driven by 51-year-old Tej Bahadur Rawal, a resident of Chowrapati, which veered off the road near Amrukh in Lugra, plummeting approximately 150 meters. Police Inspector Rajendra Saud, Information Officer of Achham Police, confirmed that authorities promptly responded to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation into the tragic incident.
