Police Intercept Vehicle with 30 Quintals of Smuggled Sugar in Kailali

Dhangadhi: In a significant operation, the Sudurpaschim Pradesh Investigation Group (RIT) successfully apprehended a vehicle transporting 30 quintals of illicit sugar in Kailali.

On Tuesday afternoon, the RIT team intercepted a cargo vehicle bearing the registration Sudurpaschim Pradesh No. 01-001 Ch 3957, loaded with illegal sugar from Badaipur in Gauriganga Municipality. The thorough search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 60 bags, each containing 50 kg of sugar, along with two bags of bidi.

Law enforcement authorities have confirmed that the confiscated truck, laden with the contraband sugar, will be transported to the Area Police Office in Malakheti for further necessary actions. The successful interception highlights the ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and enforce the law within the region.
