Five New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in a Single Day in Far West Region

Dhangadhi: In a concerning development, five individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day in the Far West region.

On Wednesday, a total of 532 individuals entered the Far West region through various checkpoints: 120 via Kanchanpur's Gaddachouki checkpoint, 8 through Baitadi's Zhulaghat checkpoint, 399 through Kailali's Gauriphanta checkpoint, and 5 through Darchula's Pulghat checkpoint.

Of the total entrants, 186 individuals underwent health screenings. According to the provincial emergency operation center in Dhangadhi, the test results confirmed that 5 individuals have contracted the coronavirus. The incident underscores the ongoing need for vigilance and public health measures in the region.
