Far West Province Government Extends Financial Aid to Families of Students Killed in Israel
Dhangadhi: In a compassionate gesture, the Far West Province government has disbursed financial support totaling two lakhs to the families of students who tragically lost their lives in Israel.
The support amount, previously announced, was officially handed over to the bereaved families on Tuesday in Tikapur. Shivraj Bhatt, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law for the State Government, presided over the program, personally delivering the financial assistance to the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah and Israel's Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder Goldwerger, were present at the ceremony as a demonstration of solidarity.
The families of the seven students from Far West Province, who were among the victims of the Hamas attack in Israel on October 7, received the support checks. The attack claimed the lives of a total of 10 students who were part of the Learn and Earn program at Southwestern University. Unfortunately, Bipin Joshi, one of the students, remains missing, and there is no current information regarding his status.
This humanitarian effort by the Far West Province government aims to provide some relief to the grieving families during this challenging time. The support reflects the province's commitment to stand by those affected by this tragic incident.
