Kanchanpur Police Intercepts Smuggled Goods in Bhimdatta Municipality
Kanchanpur: Law enforcement authorities in Kanchanpur successfully intercepted a consignment of illegal goods in Bhimdatta Municipality-6 Bangaon, revealing a case of customs evasion.
The seized goods, including sugar, Misri, Petha, Bidi, Betel Nut, Biscuits, Chocolate, and other items with an estimated value of Rs. 1,64,529, were traced to have entered Nepal without proper customs clearance from India. Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Dangi, serving as the spokesperson for the District Police Office Kanchanpur, confirmed the recovery and informed that the confiscated goods have been handed over to the Customs Office Gaddachouki.
This successful intervention underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb illegal activities and maintain the integrity of cross-border trade regulations.
