Inaugural 'Ranatharu Language Literature Conference' Set to Commence in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: The maiden edition of the 'Ranatharu Language Literature Conference' is poised to unfold in Dhangadhi, Kailali, commencing on December 9th. The event, titled 'Ranatharu Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan 2080,' is organized under the auspices of the Rana Art Culture Conservation and Development Forum.

In a press conference held today, the organizing platform officially announced the upcoming 'Ranatharu Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan.' Program coordinator Padam Bahadur Rana conveyed that meticulous preparations have been concluded for this significant literary gathering. Emphasizing the conference's primary objective, Rana stated that it is dedicated to the preservation of the Ranatharu language, expressing concerns about its potential decline if not safeguarded appropriately.

"There is a looming fear that the language itself may vanish without proper protection. Merely writing or singing a few songs cannot suffice to preserve the essence, words, and originality of this language," remarked Padam Bahadur Rana, highlighting the urgency of concerted efforts.

The conference is expected to draw the participation of intellectuals from both Nepal and India, particularly those well-versed in the nuances of the Ranatharu language. The agenda includes recitations of Ranatharu language songs, poems, and literary compositions, alongside in-depth discussions and analyses of the language's writing methods and grammar. The event will also feature various folk cultural presentations and the felicitation of esteemed folk artists.

The venue for this landmark conference is the Ruvas Hotel in Dhangadhi, providing a conducive setting for the exchange of ideas, cultural celebrations, and the advancement of Ranatharu language and literature.
