Village Chairman Involved in Car Accident in Darchula

Dhangadhi: A vehicular mishap occurred in Darchula involving the chairman of Naugad Rural Municipality. Daljitsingh Dhami, the incumbent president of the municipality, was involved in an accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shivsingh Singh reported that the incident took place around 12:30 noon when a Bolero Jeep with registration number 3-022 Ch 5129, en route from Sundamund to Hoparigad in Naugad Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, met with an accident at Bagad Jamir in Naugad Rural Municipality-3.

The driver, Jaibhan Singh Thagunna, sustained serious injuries in the Jeep accident, while Chairman Dhami suffered minor injuries. Both individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at Gokuleshwar Hospital, as confirmed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Singh. The incident is under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
