Temporary Earthquake Measurement Center Erected in Chainpur, Bajhang

Bajhang: Responding to the seismic event of magnitude 6.3 that shook Chainpur on September 30th, a pivotal move has been made in bolstering earthquake monitoring capabilities. A 'Temporary Earthquake Measurement Center' has been successfully constructed in Chainpur, Bajhang.
In light of the escalating frequency of earthquakes in the Far West and Karnali provinces, the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center has extended its strategic reach by establishing an additional measurement center in Bajhang. The recent construction efforts signify a proactive response to the growing seismic concerns in the region.
Notably, the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center has gone beyond Chainpur, with the establishment of centers in both Bajhang and Darchula.
