Dhangadhi Delegation Provides Earthquake Relief to Karnali Province
Dhangadhi: A dedicated team of public representatives from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has embarked on a compassionate mission to offer relief to the earthquake victims in Karnali Province. Led by Deputy Chief Kandakalakumari Rana, this executive team set out for Karnali with essential relief supplies on Thursday.
In a generous gesture, the Sub-Metropolitan Corporation dispatched a substantial donation of 100 quintals of rice, valued at NPR 635,000, to assist those who have tragically suffered losses due to the recent earthquake in Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim, both located in Karnali Province.
The 28th executive meeting, convened with the pressing matter at hand, collectively resolved to provide much-needed relief to the earthquake-affected communities of Karnali Province. During the same meeting, a solemn condolence resolution was passed to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake. A moment of silence was observed in remembrance of the departed souls. Furthermore, on Thursday morning, Mayor Gopal Hamal bid farewell to the dedicated team as they embarked on their journey to Surkhet, the provincial capital of Karnali.
Accompanied by Deputy Chief Rana, the team is en route to Surkhet, where they will duly hand over the rice donation to the Karnali State Government. Deepak Bhandari, the dedicated head of the disaster management branch within the Sub-Metropolitan City, affirmed that the food assistance has been dispatched for distribution through the government's one-door system, a well-structured mechanism designed to efficiently provide relief to the earthquake-affected victims.
