Assault in Kailali Leaves Young Man Injured, One Arrested, and One Suspect at Large

Dhangadhi: A harrowing incident unfolded in Kailali as a young man fell victim to an assault involving a sharp weapon.

Late Thursday night, 23-year-old Hemraj Giri, a resident of Purvakhairi Fanta, found himself under attack in Janaki Rural Municipality-9. Local law enforcement, represented by the Tikapur area police office, reported that the assault was carried out by two individuals from the same locality, 24-year-old Uday Bik and 31-year-old Jeevan Bharti, who wielded sharp weapons during the altercation.

Giri sustained injuries to his head as a result of the weapon-inflicted assault and is currently receiving medical treatment in Nepalgunj. In a commendable display of swift action, the police apprehended Jeevan Bharti, the individual responsible for discharging the weapon, in Chisapani. Meanwhile, Uday Vick remains at large, prompting a rigorous search effort by law enforcement to locate him.
