Two Individuals Apprehended with Over 4 kg of Hashish in Darchula

Darchula: In Darchula, authorities have taken two young individuals into custody after the discovery of four kilograms of hashish in their possession. The detainees have been identified as 28-year-old Virkh Thagunna from Marma Rural Municipality-1 Taku in the district and 20-year-old Sahdeb Thagunna from Gholjar.

Gyanendra Bahadur Singh, the Information Officer and Police Inspector at the District Police Office in Darchula, disclosed that their arrest transpired on Tuesday night at approximately 1:30 AM in Shailyashikhar Municipality-3, Kirklee. A substantial quantity of 4 kilograms and 100 grams of hashish, alongside drug paraphernalia such as smoking scales, were seized during the operation.

Singh further elaborated that the arrests were made based on specific intelligence that led the police team, dispatched from the District Police Office Darchula and the Area Police Office Gokuleshwar, to intercept the suspects while they were en route to Gokuleshwar with the illicit substances.
