Sudurpaschim Province Assembly passed condolence resolution for the death of Subash Newang

Dhangadhi: The Sudurpaschim Pradesh Assembly has unanimously adopted a condolence resolution in honor of the late Subash Chandra Newang, the former Speaker of the Constituent Assembly.

During the 23rd meeting of the second session of the Second Provincial Assembly, held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm, members came together to pass this resolution, paying their respects to the departed former speaker and member of the House of Representatives, Newang, who passed away on September 12, 2023 (26 Bhadra, 2080 BS). Speaker Bhim Bahadur Bhandari eloquently presented the condolence proposal during the meeting.

The resolution conveyed deep sorrow over the untimely passing of Newang, emphasizing his pivotal role in various people's movements and his significant contribution to the formation of the constitution. It underscored the irreplaceable loss his demise has brought to the nation and extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.

In a unanimous show of support, all attending Members of Parliament raised their hands to pass the condolence resolution. A moment of silence followed to commemorate the late Newang's memory. The Provincial Assembly's next session has been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 3, at 1 o'clock.
