Serious Jeep Accident in Baitadi Leaves Two Injured
Baitadi: A harrowing incident unfolded in Baitadi as a jeep accident left two individuals injured. Police Inspector Yogesh Khatri, serving as the spokesperson for the District Police Office, disclosed that the unfortunate incident occurred at 9:30 pm on Tuesday, precisely at Patan Municipality-6 Attola, along the Patan-Pancheshwar road.
According to Inspector Khatri, the incident transpired while a Bolero jeep, bearing the registration number 1 J 301, was en route from Dadeldhura to Melauli. Tragically, the accident occurred, resulting in injuries to Mr. Prakash Chad and his 5-year-old daughter, Anuska Chad, both residents of Shivnath Rural Municipality 1 in Baitadi.
Mr. Prakash Chad sustained injuries to his head, while young Anuska Chad suffered injuries to her hand. Promptly, they were rushed to Dadeldhura Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care. Fortunately, the other passengers on board, totaling 11 individuals, escaped unscathed.
The driver of the ill-fated jeep, identified as Mr. Padmaraj Kalouni from Shivnath Rural Municipality 2, has been taken into custody by the police pending further investigation. The District Police Office in Baitadi has asserted that the accident resulted from circumstances beyond the driver's control. A comprehensive investigation into the incident is now underway to ascertain the precise factors that led to this unfortunate event.
