Conclusion of Sudurpaschim Pritnapati Tournament: Devidal Gana Emerges Victorious in Boxing

Kanchanpur: The Nepali Army's Far Western Division recently concluded its competitive event.

In the Army's Sudurpaschim Pritna level competition, Devidal Gana Tegahri Barrack has secured the top position in the realm of boxing. Impressively, Devi Dal Gana clinched seven gold medals, along with six silver medals and two bronze medals. Gorakhbox Gana Acham secured the second position, while Bhairav Prasad Gana Doti claimed the third spot in the Pritnapati tournament, which was held in conjunction with Sridal Gulm under the auspices of Sri No. 25 Bahini Adda Bhagatpur Barracks in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur.

Gorakhbox Gana, the runner-up, demonstrated their prowess by earning five gold medals and four silvers. Meanwhile, Bhairav Prasad Gana, the third-place winner, achieved two gold medals and one bronze medal. The gold medalists from Devidal Gana included Constables Dipendra Bahadur Joshi, Kumar Shrestha, Pyut Sudha Kasera, Ramita Mahata, Dhana Badal, Pawarti Thapa, and Pooja Khadka. For Gorakhbox, Constables Netra Bahadur Maske Magar, Pyut Ashok Shahi, Constables Prakash Shrestha, and Pyut Basant BC secured second place alongside Vishwas Shrestha with their gold medal victories.

Likewise, Puth Vijay Maharjan and Sipahi Savita Choudhary attained gold medals for Bhairav Prasad Gana, which secured the third position. Himal Khadka was triumphant in securing the gold medal for Birbhadrajung Gulm. The distinguished achievers of the tournament were honored with trophies, medals, and certificates in a ceremony graced by Surat Rawal, Assistant Chief of Staff of Sudurpaschim Purtana, and Manoj Thapa, Assistant Chief of Staff of Shree No. 25 Bahini Adda.

Additionally, the Nepali Army has communicated that select athletes from the Far West region will partake in the Pradhansenapati Trophy competition. This event encompasses various games such as volleyball, football, swimming, boxing, basketball, and more, conducted under the aegis of Sri No. 5 and 25 Bahini in collaboration with diverse Gana and Gulm units. The Nepali Army, apart from fostering a spirit of camaraderie among athletes, organizes the trophy to commemorate the significance of sports for the nation and as a catalyst for friendship.
