Individual Missing Following River Bridge Collapse in Bajura

Bajura: An unsettling incident unfolded in Bajura as an individual remains unaccounted for after being swept away by the river due to the collapse of the Kathe bridge.
The unfortunate occurrence transpired on Wednesday afternoon, when the Kathe bridge crumbled in Budhinanda Municipality-4, leading to a distressing situation along the Ghodakot Tadi river within the district. The missing person has been identified as Gang Lwar, a 26-year-old individual hailing from Lautharukh in the same Budhinanda Municipality-3.
During this incident, a buffalo was also carried away by the powerful current of the river alongside Lwar. However, it is heartening to report that the buffalo has since been successfully rescued from the perilous situation. Jangveer Rokaya, the Ward Chairman of Budhinanda Municipality-3, expressed that as of now, neither Lwar nor the buffalo has been located.
An intensive search operation has been launched by a joint team comprising local residents, the Colti team, and members of the Lwar area police office. Their collective efforts are focused on locating the missing individual who was last seen in the vicinity of the collapsed bridge over the Ghodakotadi river. The search is particularly concentrated along the route from Tadi to Ghodakot.
This unfortunate incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of maintaining critical infrastructure to ensure the safety of individuals traversing these areas.
