Indian National Arrested for Drug Possession in Kailali, Nepal

Dhangadhi: Nepalese authorities have detained a 51-year-old Indian citizen, identified as Hariom Singh Rajput, on charges of drug possession in Kailali. The arrest took place on Tuesday near Tikapur Municipality-9 Khagraula police check post.
A joint operation conducted by teams from Sudurpaschim Province Police Office Dhangadhi and Kalakunda Kailali police station led to the apprehension of Mr. Rajput. During the routine check, law enforcement officials discovered 6 grams and 60 milligrams of illicit substances concealed in the motorcycle bearing the registration number UP 31 B X 6897, which the suspect was operating.
Additionally, on the same day, the police apprehended 28-year-old Hemraj Bhatta of Bhimdatta-18 in Kanchanpur along with a cache of illegal drugs. The seizure included 9 ampoules of Phenragon, 11 ampoules of Rexogesic, 1 ampoule of diazepam, and 0.06 grams of narcotic heroin. The arrest was made near a barrel in Bhimdatta Municipality-10, Gaddachowi.
The arrested individuals are now in custody and will face legal proceedings for their alleged involvement in drug-related activities. The authorities continue their vigilant efforts to combat drug trafficking and maintain public safety in the region.
