Dhangadhi: The provision of electricity has been temporarily halted in six hilly districts of the Far-Western Province.

As per the statement from Jung Bahadur Chand, the Regional Head of Nepal Electricity Authority's Attaria office, the electricity service in these districts, excluding Darchula, has been temporarily discontinued.

The interruption in the electricity service for the six hill districts began on Sunday morning. In Doti's Ruvaskanda area, the disruption occurred when a wire of the 132 kV transmission line snapped.

The broken wire belongs to the tower situated at Ruvaskanda, which connects the Attariya substation to the Syaule substation. It is anticipated that the repair work will take some time to complete. Consequently, consumers residing in the hilly districts are currently grappling with difficulties due to the disruption in the electricity supply.
