Far-West wins by 10 wickets
Kathmandu: Far-Western Province has defeated Karnali Pradesh by 10 wickets in the ongoing U-19 National Cricket Tournament in Kathmandu. After losing the toss at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground, Karnali were all out for 66 in 16.5 overs. Karnali's Prakash Jaishi top-scored with 15 off 17 balls with two fours and a six.
Rupak Dhakal was out for 11 and Ramesh Budha for 12. Four players from Karnali could not open an account. Far West's Narayan Joshi took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 6 overs with 1 maiden. Akash Chand took 3 wickets for 28 runs in 6 overs. Sher Malla took 3 wickets for 6 runs in 3.5 overs with 1 maiden.
Batting first, Sudur completed the innings in 12.1 overs without losing a wicket. Far captain Khadak Bahadur Bohara remained unbeaten on 41 off 42 balls with five fours and two sixes. Naresh Bhatt remained unbeaten on 16 off 31 balls with three fours. This is the first victory of the Far West in the ongoing competition. Sudur will now play Gandaki on Tuesday.
