One killed in truck crash in Kailali: East-West highway blocked

Dhangadhi: The East-West Highway has been blocked after a motorcyclist Basanta Raj Sharma was killed in a truck crash in Kailali. Police said that the relatives of the deceased have blocked the road by burning tires since 8:00am in the morning.

The truck driver has not been identified and is absconding, according to the State Traffic Police Office, Attaria. It is said that search for him is underway. On Saturday, a truck (Lu 1 Kha 4666) coming from the opposite direction hit a motorcycle (Supra 01008 Pa 5475) heading east from west at Ghodaghodi Municipality-5 Dokebazar of the district.
