Telephone service in the remote mountains is still blocked
Dhangadhi: Nepal Telecom's telephone service is still uninterrupted in the hilly districts of the far western states. Telephone service has been disrupted in Bajura and Bajhang of the state. The district's telephone has been blocked due to snow and rain for the past three days.
There is a technical problem for repairing the telephone in Bajura. Neupane said that Nepal Telecom will be sending technicians once the air service starts. According to him, Bajura district is completely out of touch.
Similarly, telephone service has been suspended in areas other than Chainpur, the district headquarters of Bajhang. Chief District Officer Bishwaraj Maraseni said that the service of Nepal Telecom will be available in Achham. "The telephone service was down. I went after the power went out. There is less backup in the towers," said Prajia Maraseni.
The service of Nepali Telecom was disrupted due to snow and rain in remote hilly districts. Neupane, head of Nepal Telecom, Far West, said that there was a problem in running the telephone service as the electricity service was also disrupted. "Except for the repeater tower, there's a lot less. In areas where there is a national transmission line of electricity, backup is done only for 2-3 hours. If there is a power outage, our service will also be disrupted." he said.
Similarly, telephone service is being disrupted in Darchula, Baitadi, Doti and other districts.
