CT scan machine installed in Dadeldhura Hospital
Dadeldhura: A 16-slice CT scan device has been installed at Dadeldhura Hospital, Dadeldhura.
The hospital has stated that it is providing services to the patients after connecting the device which was brought a week ago. CT scan equipment has been installed for the first time in the hospital which is facing shortage of equipment and resources. Preparations are underway to launch the service by organizing a formal program within two years, said Jagdish Chandra Bisht.
The hospital has stated that the facility is affordable while it makes lesser noise while operating in comparison to normal MRI and the CT scan machine. It is patient friendly and comfortable. The higher the slice capacity of the device, the better and faster the report will be. Until now, due to lack of equipment, patients had to be referred out and go to private hospitals.
Once the service is started with the new equipment, the patients will be able to get the service inside the hospital. According to the hospital, the service fee for CT scan will also be cheaper than for private ones. A CT scan is a procedure that examines different parts of the body.
